Property Tax Information

The Village of Chesaning taxes become due on July 1 of each year.  Taxes can be paid to the Chesaning Village Treasurer on or before September 14 without penalty or interest.

Taxes are collected at the Village Office until February 28, with interest added each month after the due date of September 14.  Taxes paid after February 28 are no longer accepted at the Village, but must be paid to the Saginaw County Treasurer's Office, 111 S. Michigan Ave.  Saginaw, MI  48602, (989) 790-5225.

All tax bills are sent to the homeowner.  If the taxes are in escrow, the bank, mortgage company or tax service must request the property tax amount from the Village.

Current assessments are completed each year by the March CHESANING TOWNSHIP Board of Review, with no additional charges allowed following the close of the March Board of Review.  The Village of Chesaning is in Chesaning Township, therefore all assessments are completed by the CHESANING TOWNSHIP Assessor.  Please check your assessed valuation.  Report any errors to Chesaning Township at (989) 845-2341.

As the Village of Chesaning is located in Chesaning Township, you will also get a tax bill from them July 1 and December 1 of each year.
